Work begins at Es Grau

The reorganisation of moorings in Es Grau has begun. Tragsa, the company that has installed the pontoons in the port of Mahón near the Club Maritimo, is to undertake the work. The residents association in Es Grau asked to be included in the plan which is intended to protect and maintain the Menorcan coast.

One negative aspect is that those who have for years moored free in the area will be fined in the future if they continue to do so. However, Costas, the coastal authorities has admitted that as there is a huge backlog of work in Mallorca organising sun beds and umbrellas, at the moment boats in Es Grau and Fornells are unlikely to be fined.
